Readying children for a police state

A coworker sent me a link to this wiretap kit for children ages 10-14 being sold by Toys-R-Us. This is just terrifying on so many levels...

a) As a teenager, I did tap my own phone. Ran the lines to a bookshelf stereo and occasionally recorded my phone conversations (on cassette tapes!). This lead me to do the necessary research to find out if this was legal (it was). So, it was quite a good learning experience.

b) The comments at the bottom of the page are awesome! I loved this one:

Easy To Use, Interactive
Best Uses:
Home, Students, Teachers, School
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I've installed these on phones all over the place and they work pretty well. Not nearly as well as the professional models I normally use though.
